Subject: LinkedIn Learning and Robin DiAngelo

LinkedIn offers company training through its platform LinkedIn Learning. On this platform it offers a training session called ‘Try to be less White’ by Robin DiAngelo, the author of the book White Fragility. Being less white, according to this training session, means:

– being less oppressive;

– being less arrogant;

– being less certain;

– being less defensive;

– being less ignorant;

– being more humble;

– listening;

– believing;

– breaking with apathy;

– breaking with white solidarity;

The EU institutions are using LinkedIn in many different ways.

1. Is the Council using LinkedIn Learning? If so, how many times has ‘Try to be less White’ been watched by its employees and what was the cost?

2. Is it convinced that this kind of racism has no place in the EU institutions and will it insist that LinkedIn ban training sessions like this?

3. How much did the Council spend on LinkedIn in 2018, 2019 and 2020? Could it specify the amount per LinkedIn entity?
