Question for written answer E-002583/2021

to the Commission

Rule 138

Moritz Körner (Renew)

Subject: Legislative initiatives

On 16 July 2019, Ursula von der Leyen stated the following in the speech she made to Parliament immediately prior to her election as President of the Commission:

‘I support the right of initiative for the European Parliament. When the Parliament, through a majority vote, adopts resolutions requesting the Commission to submit legislative proposals, I commit to responding with a legislative act that fully respects the principles of proportionality, subsidiarity and better law-making.’

1. Which Parliament resolutions calling on it to submit legislative proposals has the Commission acted on, and what are the titles of the proposals concerned?

2. Which Parliament resolutions calling on it to submit legislative proposals has the Commission not acted on?

3. Which Council initiatives calling on it to submit legislative proposals has the Commission actually acted on, and what are the titles of the proposals concerned?
