Subject: Introduction of ecology and green transition studies in all EU schools
The EU has, much to its credit, made a powerful début on the green growth scene, backed by unprecedented levels of funding.
In my opinion, the most effective way of investing it is to encourage the introduction of ecology and green transition studies in all EU schools.
Educating the younger generation about green policies, green attitudes and green culture is essential if we are to have any hope of a green future.
Simply investing in a green transition, without any follow-up by young people suitably familiarised with such policies will not deliver the expected results.
In view of this:
Can the Commission say whether it intends to provide suitable incentives for the development of educational infrastructures facilitating the introduction of ecology and environment studies in EU schools?
