Subject: Anti-Racism Coordinator
On 17 May 2021, the Commission designated an Anti-Racism Coordinator. The Finnish national, Michaela Moua, was appointed to the post and will be responsible for ‘strengthening policies in the field of anti-racism’. She will work with representatives of minorities as well as with Member States, the European Parliament and actors from civil society and academia.
- What sound reasons are there to legitimise this new post?
- What policy measures will the Coordinator be able to propose and in what areas?
- How much money will the Coordinator receive to establish her office and to carry out her duties?
