At the occasion of the 5th United Nations’ International Day of Living Together in Peace on 16 May 2022, the European Committee of the Regions would like to encourage you to watch the documentary film “All of Us” (Nous Tous by Pierre Pirard, 2021) and to sign the Universal Declaration of Living Together in Peace.
Involvement of every citizen in designing their own future is in the interest of Europe’s regions and cities, which are important actors in promoting non-discrimination and human rights as well as fostering peaceful coexistence of all members of society. This film shares, in the spirit of hope, stories of audacious people around the world (United States, Bosnia, Senegal, Indonesia, Lebanon) with a strong desire for people of different beliefs to live together in harmony. “All of Us” immerses you in these stories of how people reinvent family, education, social relations, culture, and work, in order to create a cohesive community which embraces cultural and religious differences.
