On June 29, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) published the report ‘Countering online vaccine misinformation in the EU/EEA, with a focus on misinformation related to vaccination against measles (in combination with mumps and rubella), human papillomavirus (HPV), influenza, and COVID-19.

The report explores the evidence base for how to counter online vaccine misinformation in the EU/EEA, current strategies used by public health authorities in a selection of EU countries, and training needs on this topic.

ECDC and The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) today issued a new version of the Aviation Health Safety Protocol providing clear operational guidance and risk-based recommendations for health-safe air travel to complement the European Union’s initiatives, such as the EU Digital COVID Certificates.

19 May: ECDC releases new dashboard on SARS-CoV-2 variants

A new dashboard released by ECDC now provides an overview of the proportion of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and variants of interest among sequenced samples in European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries, as well as sequencing volumes. It complements the data published in ECDC’s weekly country overview report.
