Energy labelling requirements for local space heaters (review)

Since 2018, EU ecodesign rules have set energy efficiency requirements on local space heaters. EU energy labelling rules have also provided information to consumers on the energy performance (and other environmental parameters) of local space heaters. These rules have led to substantial energy savings for consumers.

This initiative reviews the energy labelling rules to:

• take account of technological progress in the sector
• ease comparison across different product types
• use an A to G scale.
