EEAS Call for Expression of Interest for the recruitment of

one Temporary Agent under Article 2(b) of the

Conditions of Employment of Other Servants (CEOS)

WE ARE
The European External Action Service (EEAS), which supports the work of the High Representative in defining and implementing an effective and coherent foreign policy of the European Union. The EEAS supports his tasks of conducting the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy and chairing the Foreign Affairs Council. It also supports the High Representative in his capacity of Vice President of the Commission. The EEAS works in close cooperation with Member States, the Council and relevant services of the European Commission.

The EEAS Task Force (TF) on “EU Safe Passage Task Force Afghanistan” will ensure the overall coordination and steering of issues related to the safe and legal passage of EU affiliated Afghans from Kabul to their final destination of resettlement. The TF will steer and coordinate the work and the tasks below will be implemented in close cooperation with and with support from the Commission, relevant agencies and Member States. The EEAS Task Force is placed under the authority of ASIAPAC DMD as the Head of Task Force, who will supervise all aspects of the work, from internal coordination to external representation. The coordinator, will be attached to the Head of Task Force. The Head of the Task Force reports to the Secretary General and SG Office.

WE PROPOSE
The position of Crisis management coordinator Officer for Afghanistan in ASIAPAC division.

A challenging position as coordinator of “EU Safe Passage Task Force Afghanistan” in charge of Crisis Management in Afghanistan to contribute to the development and delivery of timely, solid and accountable EU responses to the crises. In particular, dealing with prevention, preparedness and response to crises as well as with the follow-up in co-ordination with other EU Member States and international actors.
