05 Jul: The EU agri-food business mission to Vietnam, 10-14 July 2022

The European Union Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski will be visiting Vietnam from 10 to 14 July 2022, accompanied by a business delegation of 50 senior representatives from the European agri-food sector, representing mainly meat, dairy, wines, spirits, fruit and vegetable products. The purpose of this visit is to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports and to benefit from the positive outcomes of the entry into force of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) in August 2020.

The adoption of the Rome Statute has been a major step forward in the evolution of the international legal order and a breakthrough in the global fight against impunity. The 13th Subcommittee meeting on Trade, Industry, Customs and Taxation between the EU and Albania took place on 29 June 2022 in Brussels. Representatives from the European Commission (Commission) discussed the most recent developments in these areas with the relevant Albanian authorities. 04 Jul: European Union-ITC project Ready4Trade launched the Kazakhstan Trade Portal

4 July 2022, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan – The new online platform provides step-by-step information on cross-border trade procedures and makes it more accessible for businesses.

The Ready4Trade Central Asia project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Centre, launched a Trade Facilitation Portal in Kazakhstan to reduce the time and cost to do trade across borders. The portal provides a detailed description of all the import, export and transit formalities, including required documents, forms and applicable regulations and procedures.

04 Jul: The EU-supported Social Work Centres in Kosovo continue aiding the most vulnerable members of the society

The EU Ambassador in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, visited today Shtime/Štimlje municipality to meet with Mayor Qemajl Aliu and see first-hand the workings of the EU-supported Social Work Centre.

Szunyog and Aliu discussed the role of municipalities in economic and social development and the employment of young people. They also visited the Municipality-run Youth Centre that caters to the development of their skills and capabilities.

Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan – Sixth Eurasian Business Forum “Green Energy & Waste Recycling Forum” (GEWR) kicked off today gathering over 150 government officials from Central Asia (CA), representatives of the European Union (EU), international organizations, non-governmental organizations and business.
